Taos Rabbit (New Mexico Pueblo)
1 rabbit 2 quart cold water 1 cup mild vinegar 2-3 t red chile powder 1 large onion 1 teaspoon salt ground sunflower seeds Cut rabbit into serving pieces, peel onion and put all ingredients into stew pot. Simmer until meat is tender. Thicken gravy with ground sunflower seeds.
Serves: 4
